Located downtown, outside the old centre, this is a quirky hotel and not like many we have stayed in before. It's very Spanish, which we really liked - English wasn't widely spoken, but this wasn't an issue as we were able to make ourselves understood. It also seems to be a real community hub, with locals obviously using it as social meeting place, which seemed so lovely. There is a pool and sunbeds which are a great addition. Our room was OK - quite plain, but perfectly fine for two nights (and it had a small terrace with table and chairs, which was a bonus), but in some areas it felt a little tired. A bit more attention could have been paid to bathroom cleaning, but nothing that made us think we wanted to complain. Just a closer eye over things and it would have been really, really good. We booked with the half board option, because we'd been travelling & just wanted an easy option. I did check that the menu which was in our room, for the restaurant, was the one we could choose from - assured it was and we were delighted as it looked fabulous. And it was - we had an exceptional dinner on the first night, after again checking that we did not need to order from a different menu for half board. It turns out we should have done but the hotel accepted that a mistake had been made and that they would include what we had ordered (minus the drinks) in the half board rate, which we really appreciated. The meal on night two was OK, but our advice would be to ditch half board and just order from the a la carte, so there's no confusion, especially as this menu is extensive (with vegan options) and not overly expensive, at all. Breakfasts were great - and ironically, the half board one was, for us, much better than the a la carte one.

This was our 4th stay as we have relatives in the area. Hotel is under rated at 2*. Very friendly, comfortable hotel. Staff are always happy and accommodating. Rooms are clean and staff clean and tidy every day. Breakfast is continental with offer of added bacon and egg. Buffet style with every type of fruit, ham & cheese, large toasted bap, cereals, yoghurts, jams and spreads. The price of the stay if very reasonable. Double room is enough space to walk around with ensuite bathroom, fridge and safe if needed.

An old school hotel but very well maintained with helpful and friendly staff and a very welcoming atmosphere. The pool was huge. There's was quite a lot of choice for breakfast and the prices we're decent. We also asked for laundry service which was quick and very fairly priced. The room itself was clean, roomy and comfortable. The hotel has free public parking and is a 15-20 minute walk from the historic tower in Olvera.

The wonderful Annie changed our room for one on the first floor so that we had a balcony. This is a very Spanish hotel in Olvera which is one of the Pueblos blancos. There was a pool which was still open on 6th October. Room was immaculate. It is a long steep walk up to the square where there is a church and a castle (more steps!)...but there is also a restaurant/cafe/bar.

Masha

The hotel was very clean! The furnishings and decorations in good repair. The staff was friendly and very professional. The hotel uses high quality bed linens and towels. Rooms were Air Conditioned. The hotel had a small restaurant and bar. Perfect location to doy the route of the white villages.
